DUDE.

BTW, the backseat is practically spotless and the passenger side is mostly just dirty. I’ll do a post tomorrow on cleaning it. But seriously. What was this guy doing to that poor door seal and seat?

My best guesses: He either suffered from Pica, or he kept gerbils in his pockets.

Im going to guess wearing some kind of toolbelt plus a lot of entries and exits. Maybe some kind of inspector that required traveling to a lot of sites ?

eh? I’m deathly allergic to manufactured ciga rettes. Definitely would not have taken delivery of a smoker’s car. It would make me incredibly sick.

Delivery driver. Get in and out of your car 40x more than normal and you put on a half century worth of wear in a matter of a couple years.

This actually seems most likely.

Likely an elderly or rather stout owner who slid and pulled him/herself in and out the car.

Edit: someone already guessed a multitool, dangit.

He had a multi tool clipped to his belt that rubbed when he gets in and out.

That’s my guess. Also I’m super paranoid about this happening, the side bolster on my last car eventually developed a small hole at around the nine year mark. I lever myself up by the steering wheel in my latest car to avoid touching the bolsters, but I wonder if yanking the wheel that hard on a regular basis is worse for things long term.

After reading Fit forum threads, I have decided I’m going to put my driver’s side and passenger side Recaros flipped so that the adjustment knobs face each other above the center console. Apparently, there’s barely any room to get your hand in if you do it the normal way, plus that bolster is starting to get a bit too much wear, so it’s time to ROTATE.

A delivery driver for the Yakuza, and it’s from his gun.

On C4 vettes, the ergonomics of having 12 inch tall sill for a fall in/climb out experience means most folks use the steering wheel to help.  Eventually they end up with play in the steering wheel due to wearing out the tilt mechanism that costs all the money to replace.
